Discipleship Programs |
![]() Because we are committed to seeing lives transformed to a new life in Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and for the glory of God the Father, the applicant must be committed to honesty, a life of recovery, and godly change. Although we accept those struggling with drug and/or alcohol addictions we aren’t a recovery program per se. We are a transformation program through Christian discipleship. The programs are designed to be a four phase, in-residence program intended to be finished in 12-18 months. The program begins with a restrictive and intensive phase that can be completed in 30 to 60 days. After each phase more freedom and responsibility is afforded. By the end of Phase 4 the member should have a full-time job, be connected and active in a local church and be ready to transition to independent living while remaining connected to a Christian community and committed to being a lifelong disciple of Christ. There are several evangelical churches represented in the programs. Without such support from our local churches the programs would not be possible. Volunteers teach Bible classes, mentor program members, and model Christian living for the men and women in the programs. Sure Foundation (women) is located at the Ruth House. The ladies are completely submerged in the Word of God for the first few phases, giving them a sure foundation to build on. Their whole day consist of devotionals, Bible studies, volunteering and fellowship with other Christians in the community. Solid Foundation (men) is located at the Ark and is overseen by Steve Nelson. The men need three things to succeed: Christ as their foundation; a Christian Community to connect with; and a Commitment to transformation. We provide the men the opportunity to invite Christ into their lives and provide for them a Christian Community, but it is up to them to bring the Commitment. Solid Foundation is a microcosm of the local church and transformation into spiritually mature believers takes place through loving God, loving others, being equipped, and ministry outreach. |
