The Beginning of Something New | Alignment with God's Direction & Vision for where HE wants to take the Mission
There is a fresh, exciting energy stirring at the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission (IFRM) right now! For nearly two decades, God has allowed IFRM to serve our community, but we sense He is now inviting us into a brand-new season…one of deeper dependence on prayer and a clearer kingdom focus. Instead of relying on our own limited ideas, we are pausing to listen intently to the Holy Spirit. As Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, we want to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
We are asking Him for a grander vision for our future, refusing to get comfortable or complacent. We want to constantly raise the bar and ask hard questions so we can continue to grow.
Right now, our focus is simple: listening and radical stewardship. We want to be incredibly disciplined with the resources God has already given us. By practicing excellent stewardship today, we will be fully prepared when He leads us into new territory tomorrow, trusting the promise in Ephesians 3:20 that He “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”
Through it all, our heartbeat remains the same: to glorify God, share His gospel, and provide help, hope, and a future to the hungry, homeless, and hopeless in our community through the love and power of Jesus Christ.
God is preparing the soil for something incredible, and this is just scratching the
surface! We have so much more to share with you. Keep an eye out for next month’s newsletter, where we will dive into the specific ways God is stretching our faith.
Thank you for praying and expecting great things alongside us!
