The Idaho Falls Rescue Mission has 2 emergency shelters that are the rescue portion of our ministry. Our guests are welcome to stay with us for 37 days (7 days to get find a job, and then 30 days to save up some money and get out on their own). We have regular Bible Studies that each guest is invited to attend, and we have partnerships with many church’s in town that offer pick-ups for our guests without vehicles to attend church services. We have a dedicated Rescue staff that work hard at helping those in dire situations get back on their feet.
OUR TWO EMERGENCY SHELTERS ARE:
The City of Refuge is our mens shelter and is located at 840 Park Ave. in Downtown Idaho Falls. This ministry keeps men off the streets and facilitates them getting back on their feet after they have been faced in a situation that has left them homeless. We strongly encourage them get involved in our new Works Program during their stay with us as well as getting jobs, acquiring a vehicle if necessary and getting some savings established in order to get back out on their own.
The Ruth House is our womens shelter and is located at 3130 S. Yellowstone Hwy in Idaho Falls. This ministry exists to keep women off of the streets and helps them getting back on their feet. Often times our guests come to us after a divorce or separation has left them without a place to stay, and our desire is to support them in a difficult season in their life.
