“Our church gives to the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission because we know the heart of the people who operate the mission and the hearts they have for the homeless in the Idaho Falls area. We, together, can touch lives for the name of Jesus Christ in this community.”
Pastor Tom Brown, First Baptist
Ways for Churches To Engage
- Pray for us and our guests.
- Serve together. Idaho Falls Rescue Mission can provide direction for Christians who want to serve the poor but aren’t sure how. Church small groups regularly volunteer together at Idaho Falls Rescue Mission’s shelters, and it’s a good opportunity to build relationships with one another as they serve together.
- Welcome our residents. We depend upon local churches to provide a hospitable environment, spiritual support, and friendship for Idaho Falls Rescue Mission guests both before and after they move out. Most of our guests have little or no support and few healthy relationships outside Idaho Falls Rescue Mission, and we need churches to bridge that gap.
- Partner financially. Understanding the “mission field” to be local as well as global, churches are some of Idaho Falls Rescue Mission’s most valued and faithful financial partners.
